This Saturday, January 31, 2026, we will once again come together to take part in the Live Like Lou workout.

We completed this workout in 2025, and we’re proud to bring it back again.

This is a partner workout with a purpose, built around one simple idea:

Leave ALS better than we found it.

The Live Like Lou Foundation exists to create and connect communities in order to:

  • Stimulate emerging ALS research

  • Support families affected by ALS

  • Honour the legacy of MLB Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig

  • Stand with the roughly 30,000 individuals in North America currently living with ALS

This workout is one small way we can come together as a community and show our support.

About “The Lou”

The Lou is a partner workout inspired by Lou Gehrig’s iconic Yankees jersey number, 4.

The workout consists of:

  • 44 rounds

  • 4 reps of each movement per round

    • Wallballs

    • Pull-ups

    • Burpees

    • Dumbbell snatches

Partners split the work however they choose and persevere together from start to finish.

It’s challenging.
It’s uncomfortable.
And that’s the point.

Workouts like Live Like Lou remind us that fitness can be about more than numbers on a whiteboard or times on a clock. It’s about using our ability to move, train, and suffer a little, for something bigger than ourselves.

You don’t need to be elite.
You don’t need to be perfect.
You just need to show up and do the work alongside your partner.

How to get involved

  • Participate in the workout this Saturday. The class is already open to register on zenplanner.

  • Actually register for the workout through the foundation and pay $20 registration fee - Our Team Page

  • Learn more about the mission behind Live Like Lou

Registering for our official team page, is not the same as registering for class on zenplanner. We would ask that you do both and support the Live Like Lou foundation, but at the very least, you must register for the workout in zenplanner. Our zenplanner registration for this class is open now.

We hope you’ll join us this Saturday, January 31, 2026, as we train together, support one another, and honor a cause that matters.
