The first week of the CrossFit Open is always electric, and this Saturday we can’t wait to kick things off with 26.1.
There’s something special about Open Saturdays. The energy is different. The nerves are real. The cheers are loud. And for a few hours, our gym fills with athletes, families, and community all rallying behind one another.
This week’s theme is the Winter Olympics, so get ready to lean into it. Whether that means rocking your favourite winter country colours, dressing like a bobsledder, or just showing up ready to bring the spirit, we want the morning to feel fun, festive, and full of energy.
Arrival Time & Briefing
Please plan to arrive around 8:30am so you have time to get settled, warm up, and be ready.
We will hold an athlete and judges briefing at 8:45am to review movement standards, flow, and expectations so everything runs smoothly.
Heat times will be posted on the whiteboard, and you’ll be able to sign yourself into a heat.
Parking Reminder
To help us keep things respectful with our neighbours, please follow our parking guidelines:
Park at the front of the building off the 10th Line, towards our end of the lot.
Walk through the gates to enter the gym area.
Please DO NOT park around the corner in front of South Winds Marine. They are open on Saturdays and have asked that we keep those spaces available for their customers.
Thank you for helping us maintain great relationships with our neighbours.
The Open is the one time of year when we truly turn the gym into a spectator space, and we absolutely love it.

The energy of people cheering makes a huge difference to the athletes on the floor, and it’s one of the reasons the Open feels so memorable year after year.
Children are more than welcome to come and be part of the fun. We just ask that young children are supervised at all times, as athletes will be warming up, lifting, and competing. For safety, kids cannot be on the floor unattended.
Whether you’re stepping onto the floor to compete or standing on the sidelines cheering, Saturday mornings are about community.
It’s about showing up for each other.
It’s about celebrating effort.
It’s about pushing a little harder than you thought you could.
Most of all, it’s about sharing an experience that reminds us why we love doing this together.
So get your Winter Olympics spirit ready, plan to arrive early, and come prepared to bring the noise.
We can’t wait to kick off the 2026 Open with you.
