Did you do Chad 1000X? - Monday, November 10th, 2025

Did you do Chad 1000X?

If you took on Chad 1000X this past Saturday, there’s a good chance your calves, quads, or glutes are still a little sore. That workout is no joke. One thousand step ups add up fast, and even though you might have finished feeling strong, it’s completely normal to still be feeling it a few days later.

Today’s class workout does include 48 box step overs, which will hit a lot of the same muscles Chad 1000x may have already taxed. And while movement can help loosen things up, it’s important to listen to your body. If your legs still feel heavy, tight, or sore to the point where your movement pattern would change, today might be a perfect rest day.

Recovery isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s part of the training process. The work you put in during Chad 1000x only pays off if you give your body the time it needs to rebuild. Sore muscles need oxygen, hydration, and rest to recover properly. Training on top of deep fatigue doesn’t make you tougher, it can actually slow progress and set you back.

So take a minute today to check in with yourself.

  • Can you move well?

  • Are you still sore to the touch?

  • Do your legs feel heavy before you even start warming up?

If so, give yourself permission to rest. Go for a walk, stretch, hit the sauna, or just relax. You earned it. Chad 1000x was hard, and hard isn’t a punishment, it’s a proving ground, but recovery is what proves you’re training smart.

Showing up ready to move better, not just to move more is the key.
