Closed for Family Day
We’ll be closed for Family Day next Monday, February 16th.
We wanted to take a moment to explain why, because we know for many of you, taking a day off can feel harder than showing up.
So often we get into a headspace where we feel like we need to train every single day. That if we miss a workout, or two, we’re going to lose progress, lose strength, lose momentum, and fall behind.
The truth is, that’s not how the body works.
Our bodies need rest days. Not as a reward, not because we “earned” them, but because recovery is part of training.
Traditional CrossFit programming was built around this idea. Three days on, one day off, two days on, one day off. Training stress followed by recovery. Adaptation happens when we rest, not just when we work hard.
For many years, we were always open on stat holidays. We thought being open meant we were doing the right thing for everyone. Over time, and many years, we’ve learned that taking intentional breaks matters. They matter for you, our athletes, for our coaches, for our families, and for us.
Family Day gives us a chance to step away from the barbell, the clock, and the schedule., and most importantly to spend time with the people who matter most.
One day off won’t take anything away from your fitness.
In fact, it often gives something back.
We’ll be back to the regular schedule on Tuesday, ready to train, coach, and move together.
As always, get outside and use your fitness and enjoy Family day!
