Do we have judges for the 2026 CrossFit Open?

The CrossFit Open is right around the corner, and as always, we’re getting excited for one of our favourite times of the year.

The energy.
The encouragement.
The nerves before the first rep.
The cheers when someone hits something they’ve never done before.

It is one of the best parts of our community.

But the thing that makes the Open run smoothly, is your willingness to help us out and judge.

Every single heat, every single athlete, every single score relies on someone standing beside them, ensuring movement standards are met, counting rep, and helping make the experience fair, safe, and fun.

Quite simply, we can’t run the Open without your help judging.

That’s why we’re starting to plan ahead and get a sense of how many of you might be willing to step in and help us judge this year.

Judging does not mean you need to be an expert or a longtime member. It simply means being willing to support your fellow athletes, pay attention to standards, and be part of what makes the Open such a great community event. And of course, first and foremost, being willing to tell the athlete that it’s not a rep if they don’t meet the movement standard.

While many of our athletes are nervous to judge at first, they actually end up really enjoying it.

As we wait for the workouts to be announced, knowing how many of you we have helps us plan heats, scheduling, and overall flow so that the Saturday’s run smoothly for everyone.

So we’re putting the question out there:

The Open has always been about more than workouts. It’s about showing up for each other, supporting one another, and building something special together.

And judging is one of the biggest ways you can be part of that.
