Weekend Schedule
The workouts for Semifinals were released Monday afternoon. Steph and I sat down with Lee Anne, went through each test, and locked in a plan for how the weekend will run.
Lee Anne will be kicking things off at CrossFit Colosseum on Thursday, where she’ll take on workouts 1 and 5 with Carolyne Prevost. After that, she’ll be back here at CrossFit Indestri to complete the remaining three workouts with us:
Friday at 1:00pm – Workout 3
Saturday at 10:00am – Workout 2
Monday at 10:30am – Workout 4
We mentioned this in last night’s blog, but it’s worth repeating. We would love to have you in the gym to support her during these workouts.
Making it to Semifinals is a big deal, one that deserves to be recognized and supported. But it also feels different than the Open. During the open the facility is full of 50+ athletes all going through it together. During events like Quarterfinals and now semifinals it’s a lot quieter, with fewer people on the floor, so the energy shifts.
That’s where we as a community come in. We have the opportunity to bring the energy up. To recreate the kind of environment we see during the Open, where every rep matters and every “finish line” has people behind it. Because at this stage of the CrossFit season, a lot more is on the line.
Lee Anne is one step away from the CrossFit Games. Every workout carries a little more weight. The standards are always high, but the expectations here are even higher. The nerves are real, and not just for her, but for all of us involved in running these workouts properly, filming them, judging them, and making sure everything is done exactly as it needs to be. It’s intense, and it should be, a lot is on the line.
So we’re calling on you to help us match that intensity with something just as powerful. Let’s bring the energy in the facility up, fill the room, make her feel supported through every rep. Let’s create an environment that lifts her up when things get hard, because they will get hard, we’re one step away from the CrossFit Games.
