More Teams
We’re excited to have the opportunity to have another team joining us for team training sessions. Starting next Tuesday evening at 7pm, we’ll begin working with a U15 Boys Hockey Team, helping these athletes develop the kind of strength, speed, and coordination that carries directly onto the ice.
Team training is something we have done for years, though during COVID we stopped and put all our focus into our daily class schedule. Over the past couple years we’ve started to pick it up again.
We love working with teams, and have always found that when athletes train together in a coach led environment, they bring the same teamwork and accountability that they do in their sport, but with a new focus on movement quality, consistency, and performance. Each session is built around the CrossFit methodology, constantly varied, functional movement performed at high intensity, but tailored to the demands of their specific sport. For hockey players, that means building explosive power, quick change of direction, strong core stability, and endurance that lasts all three periods.
Our goal isn’t just to make them stronger in the gym; it’s to help them move better, recover faster, and stay more resilient throughout their season. Training as a team at CFI also builds camaraderie off the ice, something every great team needs. We’ve seen firsthand how much confidence, leadership, and athletic awareness these sessions bring out in young athletes, and it’s always a highlight for us to watch that growth unfold week after week.
We’re proud to work with teams from across the community, hockey, basketball, etc.. Each program is coach led, sport specific, and built to strengthen movement fundamentals that support athletic development and reduce injury risk.
