Community Cup Details
We received confirmation on Tuesday afternoon from CrossFit Affiliates that judges are not required for the community cup, so we will be programming the 3 workouts into our class programming next week. Monday will be community cup workout 1, Wednesday will be community cup workout 2 and Friday will be community cup workout 3.
We had planned to do a weekend event, ie) Friday, and Saturday. However with currently only 6 of you signed up, and cancelling class times, etc. We have decided that the best option, because HQ has confirmed judges won’t be required, would be to program the workouts into classes.
While judges are not required, if you are officially registered for the community cup and doing the competition and submitting a score on the worldwide leaderboard, integrity is very important. We preach integrity in your movements all the time, whether competing or just training, every movement should be held to the standard, but in this case, it’s even more important. Integrity in CrossFit is one of our core values. If you don’t squat below parallel on the 1 RM Front Squat, the rep does not count. It’s not you tried really hard and got really close, you need to leave zero doubt in all the movements that you do.
