Ready or not, it’s here

It always seems to sneak up on us.

One minute registration opens, and the next thing we know, it’s here.

The first week of the CrossFit Open.

Ready or not, here we go.

For some, the Open brings excitement. For others, nerves. For many, a mix of both. You might be wondering what the workout will be, whether you’re prepared, or how you’ll stack up.

But here’s the truth.

The Open has never been about being perfectly ready.

It has always been about showing up.

Every year, athletes tell themselves the same things:

“I wish I was a little stronger.”
“I wish my engine was better.”
“I wish I had one more month to work on something.”

The reality is, almost no one ever feels completely ready when the Open arrives. That’s part of what makes it special.

Whether you’re in your first year of CrossFit or your fifteenth, whether you RX every workout or scale every movement, the Open is designed to test you.

It is not a test of perfection.

It is a test of effort, courage, and willingness to step onto the floor and try.

What makes the Open so powerful isn’t just the workouts. It’s the atmosphere. It’s the sound of the gym when a room full of people counts someone’s last reps out loud. It’s the high fives between heat times. It’s watching someone do something for the very first time. It’s seeing athletes push beyond what they thought they could do.

For three weeks, we get to experience something unique. We train together all year, but during the Open, we compete together, support each other, and share in the highs and lows of every workout.

It brings out the very best of our community.

If you’re feeling nervous, that’s normal. If you’re unsure how you’ll do, that’s normal too. Remember, the Open isn’t about comparing yourself to others. It’s about measuring yourself against who you were yesterday.

It’s about stepping outside your comfort zone.
It’s about learning something new about yourself.
Most importantly, it’s about being part of something bigger than any single workout or score.

So as we head into Week One, take a deep breath.

Trust your training.
Trust the process.
Trust that the work you’ve put in matters.
And most of all, remember why you started.

Because ready or not, the Open isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment.

It’s about stepping onto the floor, hearing “3…2…1…go,” and giving your best with your community beside you.

Front Squat w/ tempo ( 3 - 2 - 1 )
3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3

Tempo 3 sec down - 2 sec hold - 1 sec up

WOD:

2 min AMRAP x 5 sets w/ 2 min rest between
10 Wall Balls
50 DU's
