In Memory of Lazar Đukić

Today marks one year since Lazar Đukić lost his life during the Run/Swim event at the CrossFit Games. Lazar was a fierce competitor, humble athlete, and respected member of the global CrossFit community.

At just 27 year old, Lazar’s passing left a deep void in the entire community. But more importantly, he also left behind a legacy built not only on his strength and work ethic, but on the quiet way he carried himself: consistent, coachable, kind, and grounded.

To honour him, we’re doing the Memorial Workout created in his name. We did this workout on a Saturday last year after it was created, so some of you have done this before. This workout isn’t about chasing a score or pushing for a personal best. It’s about remembering a man who led with quiet strength, who inspired others simply by how he lived and trained.

As you move through the workout, let it be a reflection of everything Lazar represented, humility, heart, and hard work. Choose hard, take your time and work through the reps. We train today because he no longer can, and we move with purpose to carry forward the legacy he left behind.

This workout today is in honour of Lazar Đukić.
