Fitness as an investment
Fitness Is a terrible short term investment, but an incredible long term one.
If you're looking for instant results, fitness can be frustrating.
You don't get stronger after one workout.
You don't lose body fat after one healthy meal.
You don't improve your endurance after one run.
You don't dramatically change your health after one good week.
In the short term, the return on investment can feel pretty underwhelming.
You show up.
You work hard.
You sweat.
You go home.
And when you look in the mirror the next morning, not much seems different.
That's why so many people end up quitting. They're looking for a return that fitness was never designed to provide.
Fitness is one of the few investments where the real payoff doesn't happen in days or weeks. It happens in months, years, and decades.
The workout you do today probably won't change your life. But the workout you do today, combined with the one you do tomorrow, and the one after that, and the hundreds that follow over the coming years absolutely can.
Over time, those workouts become a stronger body, healthier joints, better cardiovascular health, more confidence, more energy, greater resilience, and the ability to keep doing the things you love as you age. You’re moving the needle more and more towards fitness, and further and further away from sickness.
The people who see the greatest results are rarely the people who find the perfect program, the perfect supplement, or the perfect diet.
They're the people who keep showing up. The ones who understand that fitness is not a quick return, but a long term investment.
And like most worthwhile investments, the benefits compound over time.
One workout won't change your life.
