The forecast has been changing

The forecast has been constantly changing. This workout has been programmed and moved multiple times, including yesterday, I think I’ve moved this workout around 3 or 4 times not due to the forecast calling for rain.

At some point, we have to stop chasing the perfect forecast and commit.

So that's exactly what we're doing.

As of right now, tomorrow's weather is showing rain between approximately 4:00pm and 5:30pm, which means we're planning to move ahead with the workout as written.

Fingers crossed.

That said, weather forecasts are forecasts. Not guarantees.

If conditions change significantly throughout the day, we'll make adjustments on the fly. One of the benefits of being a coach led facility is that we can adapt when we need to. But for now, plan on tackling the workout as intended. We can train in some rain, but not in a storm.

So that means being ready for stones and tires.

This isn't one of those workouts where everything stays neat and tidy. Stones are rough. Tires are dirty. The ground will most likely be wet, if we get the rain on Thursday that they keep calling for. So your clothes might not look quite the same when you leave as they did when you arrived.

We'd encourage you to dress appropriately for the conditions.

Long sleeves may be a good idea if you're planning on spending some quality time with the stones. A little extra coverage can go a long way when it comes to protecting your forearms and keeping your skin from getting scraped up. You may also want to think twice before wearing your favourite brand new shirt.

Part of what makes workouts like this special is that they're different.

We often use barbells, kettlebells, DB’s, etc.. But then there are days when we step outside and pick up objects that don't have knurling, bearings, or perfectly balanced weight distributions.

Tires and stones don't care about convenience. They demand effort, problem solving, grit, and a willingness to get uncomfortable. Those are qualities worth training.

So come prepared for the weather.
Come prepared to get a little dirty.
Come prepared to lift some heavy awkward things.

We’re banking on the forecast cooperating.

See you tomorrow.
